Vanguard Homeschool Academy is committed to providing quality education experiences to homeschool students in the Greenville area. We strive to provide a variety of academic and enrichment opportunities for homeschool families.

Vanguard provides homeschooling families an opportunity to extend their children's learning experiences one day a week by engaging students in classes in a wide variety of subjects. VHA is designed to complement the instruction parents provide at home. VHA strives to maintain small class sizes which allow for a personal environment where students have the opportunity to get to know each other and their teacher while still benefiting from group activities and discussions.

Vanguard Homeschool Academy Mission

Our mission is to be a Christ centered, biblically- based homeschool resource for families. We want to come alongside families in their homeschooling journey, to encourage and support families as they seek to develop Godly character in their children. It is our ultimate desire that God be glorified through the ministry of VHA.

In order to further equip parents who are ultimately accountable for the instruction and training of their children, the mission of VHA is to establish a resource for homeschool families which would endeavor:

For parents: To provide academic instruction which would enhance their efforts as they fully accept the Biblical responsibility to "train up a child in the way he should go." (Proverbs 22:6)

For students: To provide excellent academic instruction from a Biblical Christian worldview, to inspire a love for learning, to equip them to think clearly, concisely, and critically with character reflecting that of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (I Cor.8:1)

About Us

We are a resource at which instructors can convene, providing assistance to homeschool families. The administration maintains supervisory authority over all matters. We originally meet at Riverside Church and moved to Pleasant Grove in 2011.

We are independent of the Church's operations and ask that you not call the church regarding  Vanguard matters. Please address all inquiries to the Administrator or class teacher.

VHA admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at VHA. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies and programs.

Families submitting registration fees agree to hold harmless VHA, teachers , administrators or our host church for any damages or medical care/expenses that result from injury to any family members or guests while participating in VHA events or classes. VHA and our host church are not responsible for lost or stolen property brought to the facility.
