Welcome

We understand the challenges and uncertainty that we are all experiencing in the unprecedented time in history. We are thankful for our teachers, students and families that have stepped up to support each other as we navigate these uncharted waters.

See our Facebook page for updates.

2020-2021

We are making plans for 2020-2021 and look forward to a great year.

Vanguard Homeschool Academy is committed to providing quality education experiences to homeschool students in the Greenville area. We strive to provide a variety of academic and enrichment opportunities for homeschool families.

Registrations are being accepted now and may be mailed in for fall 2020-2021. Mail in your registration today to be included in 2020-2021.

We are making plans to operate our onsite program and appreciate everyone's patience as we adjust to the changing conditions and guidelines. We have posted updates to class schedules and availability. Please see the schedule for each age group for specific details.

Vanguard provides homeschooling families an opportunity to extend their children's learning experiences one day a week by engaging students in classes in a wide variety of subjects. VHA is designed to complement the instruction parents provide at home. Parents are ultimately accountable for the instruction and training of their children. VHA strives to maintain small class sizes which allow for a personal environment where students have the opportunity to get to know each other and their teacher while still benefiting from group activities and discussions.

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the congregation of groups of people.

Vanguard Homeschool Academy cannot guarantee that you or your child(ren) will not become infected with COVID-19. Further, attending Vanguard could increase your risk and your child(ren)?s risk of contracting COVID-19. By registering or attending, families acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that their child(ren) and self may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending Vanguard or related events and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.

About Us

Our mission is to come alongside families in their homeschooling journey, to encourage and support families as they seek to develop Godly character in their children. It is our ultimate desire that God be glorified through the ministry of VHA. In order to further equip parents who are ultimately accountable for the instruction and training of their children, the mission of VHA is to establish a resource for homeschool families which would endeavor:

For parents: To provide academic instruction which would enhance their efforts as they fully accept the Biblical responsibility to "train up a child in the way he should go." (Proverbs 22:6)

For students: To provide excellent academic instruction from a Biblical Christian worldview, to inspire a love for learning, to equip them to think clearly, concisely, and critically with character reflecting that of our Lord, Jesus Christ. (I Cor.8:1)

We are a resource at which instructors can convene, providing assistance to homeschool families. The administration maintains supervisory authority over all matters. We originally meet at Riverside Church and moved to Pleasant Grove in 2011. We are independent of the Church's operations and require that you not call the church regarding Vanguard matters. Please address all inquiries to the Administrator or class teacher.

VHA admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at VHA. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies and programs.

Families submitting registration fees agree to hold harmless VHA, teachers , administrators or our host church for any damages or medical care/expenses that result from injury to any family members or guests while participating in VHA events or classes. VHA and our host church are not responsible for lost or stolen property brought to the facility.

By registering or attending, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my child(ren) and I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending Vanguard or related events and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I voluntarily agree to assume all of  risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my child(ren) or myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I or my child(ren) may experience or incur in connection with my child(ren)'s attendance at Vanguard or participation in Vanguard programming
